Newcastle Basketball coordinates numerous competitions for Juniors and Seniors throughout the week. Below is the weekly competition timetable for 2013.

What To Play?
JUNIORS
Club Competition
The Club Competition is our major junior league that runs from March through to September. The competition consists of boys and girls divisions in U12, 14, 16 & 19's. All participants are required to join a Newcastle Basketball affiliated Club or an authorised School team.

Rookies (Under 10)
Our rookies program is a modified basketball competition for youngsters to help them prepare for the step up to our Club Competition. Each week players compete in proper basketball games including skill sessions at half-time.
Rookies is held four times a year in parallel to each school term (9-10 weeks at a time). For more information click here.
Learn To Play
Learn to Play is our introductory skills program for all infants and primary school children who want to learn the fundamentals of basketball. This is the perfect place to start for children aged 5-12 that have had no previous expereince playing the sport.

Holiday Camps
Each school holidays we hold day camps for new and experienced players to participate in fun, educational basketball activities. These camps are held in our stadium with morning tea and lunch provided.

Other Competitions
Throughout the year Newcastle Basketball run other junior tournaments including 3on3 and the T-1 League. These are separate to the Club Competition where players can nominate independently or form their own teams. Information about these tournaments will be posted once they start approaching.
SENIORS
Three nights a week we run various Senior Social Competitions for Men, Women & Mixed teams. Most competitions consist of multiple divisions to accommodate players of all skill levels. We run two seasons during a 12 month cycle, typically from April - September and October - March.
Leagues currently on offer in our Senior Social Competition include:
Monday: Men - Premier, Div 1, Div 2, Div 3; Women - Premier, Div 1, Div 2
Tuesday: Men - Div 1, Div 2, Div 3, Div 4; Unisex - Div 1, Div 2
Thursday: Men - Div 1, Div 2, Div 3, Div 4, Div 5; Women - Open division
Players enter our senior competitions by forming and nominating their own teams. You can do this by completing then submitting the Team Nomination Form from the link below. If you are re-entering a current team into a new competition and you haven't yet received any correspondence please contact Newcastle Basketball.
We can also assist individuals wanting to play basketball but can’t find a team to join. Come into the stadium during the competition night that interests you most and one of our friendly staff will do their best to help depending on availability.
Registration
All persons participating in any competition or development program (exc. holiday camps) MUST have a registration with Newcastle Basketball.
Registrations are done at the stadium front office and you will need to bring identification. To assist in making the process easier and faster, please print and complete the Registration Form below and bring it with you.
All registrations last 12 months from the date paid. During this time you are covered for all competitions and programs sanctioned by Newcastle Basketball.
If you wish to compete in a Newcastle Basketball competition while registered with another Association you must affiliate with us before you playing. Just print, complete and submit the Player Affiliation Form to the Newcastle Basketball Stadium front office.
