RDA Hunter is working with private and public sector organisations to grow the Hunter's diversity to create a sustainable future economically and socially.

Across the key employment and economic sectors of the region there are many opportunities to understand all efforts and strategies. These sectors include the mining and energy sector but also embrace Defence, health care, tourism, professional services, wine making, thoroughbred industry and education and research.

A key strategy of RDA Hunter is to understand how the region will manage environmental issues. Consultations across the energy sector and communities have confirmed that there is a willingness to meet and talk and suggestions that RDA Hunter take on the role of convening the key players around the table, to share information and to find pathways through some of the challenges of clean and alternative sources of energy.
