Specialty Venetian Blinds - solar shading system

Horiso® Specialty Venetian blinds are external venetian blinds which can also be installed internally. The blinds consist of aluminium slats and high quality components that operate the blinds. The external venetian blinds can be installed during construction or retro fitted onto a building facade and offer effective solar management. The internal installation of external venetian blinds do not require any structural building changes and in addition to solar management, offer privacy when required. The external venetian blinds can be raised, lowered and tilted and are suitable for a range of applications including installation on verandahs and outdoor rooms. The external venetian blinds are available in a choice of sizes, finishes and colours.

Horiso Specialty Venetian Blinds can be automately operated using Climate Ready® Control Systems.

External venetian blinds key benefits

  • System operation: Minimises thermal heat gain up to 93%, reducing air conditioning costs. Maximises interior daylight, reducing the need for artifical lighting. Controls solar glare to reduce eye irritation and improve working conditions. Optimises shading at varying sun angles. Privacy easily managed.
    Easy access for cleaning glazing.
  • High quality and durable components.
  • High wind resistance system. 2
  • Recycled content contributes to less greenhouse gas emissions during manufacturing.
  • System can be integrated with all building management systems.
  • Control options can include the integration of image facade technology and FIM (Facade Intelligence Modelling), a function of the Climate Ready® Operating System.
  • BIM 3D modelling program enables professionals to visualise, analyse and document the integration of Specilaty Venetian Blinds into project proposals. Modelling results will demonstrate performance levels - cost, scheduling and environmental impact.
