In 35 years Somerville Legal has grown from two people to over 25, with much of that growth coming from bright, young people joining the firm within the first years of their careers.

We believe that a young lawyer's success in the legal profession is largely influenced by their first few years in a law firm. Factors such as the levels of responsibility and supervision, the range of work experience, a sense of appreciation, and whether or not the firm has a friendly atmosphere, will shape both the lawyer as a professional in his/her career.

Somerville Legal sees these factors as important foundations of its growth and success, supplemented by the emphasis within the firm's culture of a balance between life inside and outside the firm.
